For those who love the holidays just as much as we do – don’t you ever feel like it’s over too soon? Doesn’t it always seem like our kids have a running list of things they want for Christmas, and as soon as someone asks, they suddenly draw a blank? Your solution: the “not now” gift. Here’s how it works:
- Give your kiddo an envelope with three “gift passes” inside, allowing them to choose what they’d like throughout the year. If they see something they want in July – it’s theirs!
- Consider putting a monetary limit on each of the gift passes. You can make them each of equal value or do one large gift pass, medium gift pass, and so on.
- Lastly, put an expiration date on the gift passes so they can ask for something else next Christmas!
